Job Description / Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality English instruction for MYP and DP students in accordance with IB standards, philosophy, and best practices.
- Plan, prepare, and implement effective lesson plans, unit plans, assessments, and learning activities that promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking.
- Ensure students achieve academic excellence by monitoring progress, providing feedback, and implementing intervention strategies where necessary.
- Communicate exclusively in English with students and foster the development of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and research skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment results, academic performance, and overall progress.
- Establish and maintain a positive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and provide academic support where required.
- Collaborate with the IB Coordinator and academic team to ensure consistent implementation of the IB curriculum and assessment standards.
- Train, mentor, and support Teaching Assistants, Housemasters, and junior teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and IB teaching methodologies.
- Serve as a role model and mentor, contributing to students` overall academic, personal, and extracurricular development within the boarding school community.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Arts (MA) in English
- Master of Education (M.Ed)
- Master's degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field.
- [University of Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, North South University, East West University, Daffodil International University ]students will get preference
- Skills Required: Teaching, Classroom management, English Teacher, School Teacher, International Baccalaureate, EnglishLanguage, PYP Coordinator, Child Mentor, IB MYP
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): College,Training Institutes, School
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in an IB World School, preferably in MYP and/or DP.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Must be willing to reside on campus in the teachers' accommodation.
