Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Music Teacher role based at MM School in Hosur. The Music Teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons for different grade levels, aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include teaching music theory and performance skills, conducting individual and group practice sessions, and preparing students for concerts, assemblies, and school events. The role also involves assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, maintaining records of achievement, and collaborating with other teachers to integrate music into broader learning experiences. The Music Teacher will care for and manage musical instruments and resources, ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge to teach core concepts clearly and accurately.
- Demonstrated Music Performance skills, with the ability to model good technique and stage presence.
- Background in Music Education and experience designing age-appropriate lesson plans and assessments.
- Proficiency in Piano and ability to use it effectively for instruction, accompaniment, and classroom activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (or equivalent professional training and experience).
- Prior teaching experience in a school or similar educational setting preferred.
- Ability to manage classrooms positively, work collaboratively with colleagues, and engage learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with a commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
