MS/HS Math Teacher Jobs in Sanford, NC at LEE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Lee Christian School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Math Teacher to join our middle and/or high school faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics, a heart for discipleship, and a desire to teach from a biblical worldview. This teacher will lead students in courses such as Math basics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, or higher-level courses based on experience and school needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction.
- Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into math content and classroom discussions.
- Provide clear explanations, model problem-solving strategies, and support diverse learners.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and respectful classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families.
- Participate in school events, chapel services, professional development, and student life activities.
Qualifications:
- A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear testimony of faith.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching experience at the middle or high school level (preferred).
- Strong content knowledge, instructional skills, and classroom management.
- Willingness to support and uphold the mission, values, and statement of faith of Lee Christian School.
Preferred:
- ACSI teacher certification or eligibility (or willingness to pursue).
- Experience with Christian education and discipleship of students.
- Comfort teaching appropriate level math.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
