Become an Early Childhood Educator at Mission Childcare Centre, where you will craft meaningful, culturally-informed experiences for children aged 0-5. This on-site role focuses on inclusivity and collaboration.
At Growing Roots, we aim to support children’s development through play-based learning grounded in Métis values. You will create and implement engaging activities while partnering with families and various specialists to meet the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan culturally responsive and developmentally suitable activities
• Aid children in emotional regulation and daily routines
• Work with support staff to meet children’s special needs
• Maintain careful records and support transition plans for school
• Create a safe and inclusive environment for all
Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education and BC ECE certificates
• Current Childcare First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certifications
• One year of relevant early childhood education experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and languages as assets
• Physical capacity to lift 50 lbs
