MUN (Model United Nations) Mentor
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic MUN Mentor to guide and train students in the art of diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, and global affairs through Model United Nations simulations. The mentor will be responsible for building students' confidence, research skills, and debate acumen while fostering a deep understanding of international relations and current global issues.
Conduct structured MUN training sessions covering committee procedure, rules of procedure, resolution writing, and diplomatic etiquette
Mentor students on research methodology for country/delegate positions, including policy stances and foreign relations
Train students in public speaking, extempore, lobbying, negotiation, and caucusing techniques
Guide students in drafting position papers, resolutions, and amendments
Conduct mock sessions and simulated committees to build practical experience
Provide individual feedback to help students improve articulation, body language, and argumentation
Stay updated on current affairs, UN agencies, and global geopolitical issues to enrich sessions
Evaluate student performance and track progress across sessions
Collaborate with the academic/program team to design curriculum and session plans
Requirements:
Prior experience participating in or organizing MUN conferences
Strong knowledge of parliamentary procedure and MUN committee structures.
Excellent public speaking, research, and communication skills
Prior mentoring, teaching, or coaching experience with school/college-age students preferred
Strong grasp of current affairs, international relations, and global governance
Ability to simplify complex geopolitical concepts for young learners
Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
