Role Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Editor to join our team. In this role, you will create,
develop, and refine trade books across various genres and subjects, ensuring top content standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Generate fresh ideas for trade books on different subjects.
- Conduct independent research to gather relevant information.
- Develop book outlines to ensure engaging, coherent content.
- Write original material, following guidelines and style preferences.
- Edit books for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to align text and visuals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and market demands.
- Manage deadlines efficiently while handling multiple projects.
Experience and Skills required:
- 2+ years of experience in editing trade or school books.
- Strong command of English (writing, reading, speaking).
- Keen attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to deliver error-free, print-ready products.
- Adherence to processes and timelines.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills.
