The assignment
BrainBite is scaling fast, and behind our AI-driven learning we need real educators who know how math actually clicks for a young mind.
We're looking for a freelance Math Tutor: part subject expert, part patient guide, someone who can turn "I'm just not a math person" into "oh, now I get it."
You'll work directly with our team to create, review and enrich the math content our learners see across our products (NeuroLift and more). Where AI drafts a worked example, you're the one who makes sure every step is correct, logical and clearly explained. You're the human expertise that makes our math trustworthy.

Your mission
- Create, review and refine math content across arithmetic, algebra, geometry and beyond
- Make sure every explanation and worked example is correct, logical and cleanly structured (readable for kids from age 8, understandable for parents)
- Design problems and exercises that build real understanding, not just rote answers
- Break problems into steps a child can follow, and anticipate where learners get stuck
- Give honest, constructive feedback on AI-generated content: what's right, what's off, what's missing
- Bring real teaching intuition to how we build and sequence math learning
Your profile
- Strong math skills with teaching, tutoring or educational-content experience
- Fluent in English; fluency in Dutch is a strong pre
- You can make an abstract concept concrete and spot exactly where a learner loses the thread
- Comfortable working independently and giving clear, direct feedback
- You care about accuracy, clarity and genuinely helping young people build confidence with numbers
- Affinity with EdTech, accessibility or educational equity is a strong plus
- You can pitch the same idea to an 8-year-old and to their parent, and land both
Practical details
- Freelance or contract (duration and hours flexible, open to discussion)
- Fully remote, with occasional alignment from our office in 's-Hertogenbosch
- Start: as soon as the right person is available
