This is a remote position.
Naijatutors Konnect is seeking a qualified and experienced Mathematics & Science Tutor to teach students aged 9–16 in a fully virtual learning environment. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about STEM education, experienced with online instruction, and familiar with British, Canadian, or Nigerian curricula.
The successful candidate will be able to simplify complex concepts, encourage problem-solving, and foster critical thinking using effective digital teaching tools in an engaging online setting.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics and/or Science in both one-on-one and group classes

Deliver 60-minute online lessons that are structured, engaging, and curriculum-aligned

Support students with numeracy skills, problem-solving, scientific concepts, and exam preparation

Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning needs, academic goals, and grade levels

Source and curate high-quality digital resources to enhance lessons

Use online teaching platforms and tools such as Zoom, MeritHub, Google Docs, Forms, and PowerPoint to deliver interactive lessons

Assign, review, and provide feedback on homework and assessments

Track student progress and maintain accurate session records

Communicate regularly with parents to provide progress updates and address concerns

Work remotely using a laptop, webcam, and stable internet connection
Requirements

Strong knowledge of Mathematics and/or Science for assigned grade levels

Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching to different learning styles

Experience delivering live online lessons via Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms

Proficiency with screen sharing, digital whiteboards, and online teaching tools

Good verbal and written communication skills

Effective time management and ability to maintain student engagement online

Ability to assess learner understanding and provide feedback

Timely submission of session reports and class documentation

Reliable internet connection and functional laptop
