Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Lower School Classroom Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Lausanne Collegiate School, located in Memphis, TN. The Lower School Classroom Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a nurturing classroom environment, assessing and evaluating student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support each student's educational journey.

• Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment
• Experience in early childhood or elementary education is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required; an advanced degree preferred
Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.
• Incorporate inquiry-based and student-centered teaching strategies to promote critical thinking and creativity.
• Integrate interdisciplinary learning, technology, and global perspectives into daily instruction.
• Assess student learning through varied formative and summative assessments.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and families. Classroom Management & Environment
• Establish a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture that reflects Lausanne’s core values.
• Set clear expectations for behavior and learning, and manage the classroom with consistency and care.
• Ensure student safety and well-being, fostering a respectful and collaborative learning environment. Student Support & Differentiation
• Identify and support diverse learning styles and needs through differentiated instruction and accommodations.
• Collaborate with learning specialists, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
• Maintain ongoing documentation of student progress, behavior, and interventions. Communication & Collaboration
• Maintain open and professional communication with families regarding academic progress and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams to plan instruction and coordinate cross curricular experiences.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, team meetings, and school events.
Professional Responsibilities
• Engage in professional development opportunities and ongoing self-reflection to enhance teaching practice.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, committees, and community-building activities.
• Uphold school policies, mission, and International Baccalaureate (IB) standards, if applicable. Contribute to the school’s global and diverse learning environment with a culturally responsive approach. Co-Curricular Involvement
