Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a CBSE-affiliated school in Jakkur, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English instruction to Grade 6 students, fostering a love for language, literature, and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials and Conduct engaging classroom sessions
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned lesson plans for Grade 6 English (CBSE)
- Facilitate interactive and student-centered classroom activities to enhance reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events as required
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives
- Follow curriculum and school guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; B.Ed. qualification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school environment
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and literature
- Proven ability to create engaging, student-focused lesson plans and assessments
- Proficient in using digital tools and educational technology for teaching and communication
- Age between 25 and 40 years
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular and co-curricular activities
