A brand new, independent SEN School in the Borough of Hillingdon is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students on a full-time, permanent basis. This position commences ASAP.
This fantastic provision offers a child-centred approach for pupils aged 5-11 years with ASD and SLD. The curriculum is specifically designed to equip students with the skills needed for adult life, adopting a holistic understanding of development.
Within the HLTA position, you will be responsible for directing the classroom, covering classes in a wide range of subjects for PPA, and require strong behaviour management skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience and assist the social, emotional, and academic development of children.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Permanent, Full-Time contract starting ASAP
Working closely with Class Teachers to plan and deliver differentiated lessons on the Equals Curriculum
Supporting students with SEND (ASD and SLD) daily
Covering lessons in the absence of Class Teacher in a range of subjects
Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
£27,000 per annum

Classes of 8 students and 4 members of staff
Brand new facilities catered to SEND students – 2 new classrooms being added
Child-centred approach through tailored curriculum to support all students accordingly

Committed SLT focused on preparing children for adulthood in relation to employment, independent living, and more PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experienced HLTA
Strong experience working with SEND students and PPA
Driven, hardworking and bubbly
Strong classroom management skills
