Company: Crossover

Location: London, England, United Kingdom

Do you possess the ability to analyze the intricate details of a Shakespearean sonnet or deconstruct a word's phonetic architecture with precision? Consider applying that linguistic and literary mastery alongside advanced AI technology to transform how millions of students learn language and literature. At 2 Hour Learning, we're not simply imagining the future of English education—we're engineering it into an adaptive, immersive learning experience.

We're looking for a visionary professional to spearhead our initiative to transform English and Language Arts education through sophisticated data analysis, innovative AI implementation, and comprehensive subject matter knowledge. Your objective? To double the rate at which students acquire language concepts and literary analysis skills, spanning from foundational phonics to sophisticated literary criticism.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're redefining K-12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI-powered learning ecosystem is changing how students engage with content, allowing them to master subjects at twice the pace of conventional schooling. We're not adjusting the existing system; we're reconstructing it entirely, and our data validates its effectiveness. Students on our platform regularly achieve 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, show more than two year's growth on annual MAP assessments, and exceed their own perceived limits of achievement.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Identifying patterns in student reading and writing data through AI, converting these findings into innovative strategies that transform English language instruction and literary analysis.
  • Developing AI-driven tools that respond to individual learning preferences, making grammar accessible, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis achievable for students across all proficiency levels.
  • Creating adaptive learning pathways that adjust in real-time, moving students from phonics through complex text interpretation, ensuring each learner advances at their ideal pace.
  • Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators, linguists, and AI specialists to expand the possibilities of language education, directly shaping the learning experience of thousands of students.
  • Converting classic and modern literature into interactive, AI-enriched experiences that both educate students and cultivate their enthusiasm for reading and writing.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Overseeing traditional English curriculums or performing administrative duties—this position focuses on innovation and strategic enhancement in how language arts are delivered and mastered within our accelerated framework.
  • Operating independently—you'll be integrated into our collaborative team advancing the frontiers of AI in English education.
  • Concentrating exclusively on theoretical concepts—every AI model you create will directly influence how students comprehend and utilize language skills in practical contexts, all within the 2 Hour Learning framework.

Learning Designer Key Responsibilities
