Mill Falls Public Montessori Charter School is seeking engaging, nurturing, and talented educators for our Lead Montessori and Assistant Teaching positions in our public Montessori Classrooms. Here, the Montessori method is aligned with the Common Core and State Standards in each of our program levels: K (single grade); Lower (grades 1-3); and Upper Elementary grades 4-6). Ideal candidates will have a commitment to Montessori education in a public setting, knowledge of best practices, and classroom experience.
For all teaching staff, Mill Falls offers a wide array of professional development opportunities which is built into our monthly school calendar.
Lead Montessori Teachers must have a bachelor’s degree and hold their Montessori certification or be willing to be trained in the Montessori method. Support for Montessori Training is available to selected Lead candidates.
Qualifications for Lead Teachers:
- Preferred Montessori Elementary certification from an accredited program or willingness to pursue training;
- NH teacher cert. or willingness to obtain NH certification;
- A demonstrated willingness & ability to implement educational best practices in conjunction with the Montessori curriculum & Common Core State Standards;
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues & parents;
- Strong written & verbal communication skills;
- Ability to plan lessons & keep progress records on students according to individual styles & aptitudes;
- Strong leadership & classroom management skills;
- Appreciation for student diversity including learning, experiential, cultural & economic diversity;
- An open-mind & sense of humor.

Assistant Teachers work in collaboration with their classroom’s Lead Teacher, and is responsible for the academic, personal, and social achievement, safety, and physical well-being of the children under their supervision. Assistant Teachers must possess a high level of professionalism and desire to expand one’s abilities in the education field.
Qualifications for Assistant Teachers:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- A demonstrated willingness to collaboratively work alongside a trained Montessori teacher;
- Previous teaching or instruction experience;
- Strong Group/Classroom Management skills;
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administrators, and parents;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Appreciation for student diversity including learning, experiential, cultural & economic differences;
- An open mind and sense of humor.

About Us: Mill Falls is the first public Montessori School in the state of New Hampshire. The School opened in Manchester in the fall of 2012. This state-issued charter school is open to all NH students via our annual public lottery. Mill Falls provides a full elementary program, currently serving 168 students in grades K-6.
