Working hours: Monday – Friday from 7.30 – 15.30/10.00 – 18.00
ICan Kids is looking for a passionate and engaged Russian Speaking Teaching Assistant for ICan kindergarten in Limassol.
The ideal candidate demonstrates kindness, understanding, patience, and a desire to help and support children in their communication. We expect the Assistant to strive to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect, which motivates a positive attitude and student engagement.
A successful candidate is able to consider individual characteristics, interests, and learning styles of children, and can effectively resolve conflicts using appropriate behavioral management strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with school health and safety policies
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to create and maintain interdisciplinary work
- Interact with parents in line with kindergarten policy
- Support and assist children during outdoor/indoor evening activities and as per schedule
- Assist children with hygiene procedures, changing clothes, meals, and other group activities
- Establish effective communication with children using a respectful and calm tone
- Support teachers in organizing classroom space, preparing materials, etc.
- Work with students individually and in small groups
- Assist teachers in following kindergarten policies on discipline, including addressing cases of undesirable behavior
- Use various methods to motivate students to collaborate in groups
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and gatherings
- Take part in team events, parent meetings, and kindergarten-wide activities
Requirements:
- Higher education in pedagogy
- Friendly attitude toward young children and a desire to unlock their talents and potential
- Excellent command of Russian (minimum B2 level)
- Experience with the EYFS program, work in a private kindergarten, and first aid certification are considered advantages
- Demonstrated strong teaching skills and a desire to inspire and motivate development
- Ability to effectively communicate with children of different ages, team members, and parents
- Willingness to build positive relationships with others
- Ability to adapt materials for a personalized learning approach
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, a patient approach when working with young children
- Ability to use creative, unconventional approaches to problem-solving
