Position Overview
- Notre Dame Academy is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for the school year.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate kindergarten curriculum aligned with California standards
- Create a classroom environment that supports early literacy, numeracy, and social‑emotional growth
- Utilize centers, projects, and hands‑on learning to engage young learners
- Foster a positive classroom community that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and independence
- Track and analyze student progress using a variety of assessment tools
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families
- Collaborate with grade‑level colleagues and instructional aides
- Contribute to the broader elementary program and school community
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience preferred
- Teaching credential in early childhood or elementary education
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- Experience with differentiated instruction and early literacy development
- Strong classroom management and relational teaching skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfort integrating technology into instruction
- Willingness to reflect, adapt, and grow professionally
- Preferred qualifications include experience with centers‑based learning, project‑based learning, or early childhood literacy instruction.
