Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Kindergarten Teacher role based at Singapore International School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Kindergarten Teacher designs and delivers age-appropriate lessons that support students’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in line with SIS curriculum and standards. Responsibilities include preparing weekly and thematic lesson plans, organizing classroom activities and learning centers, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records and reports. The teacher creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment, communicates regularly with families and colleagues, and participates in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions. The role also involves collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a positive daily routine, smooth transitions, and consistent classroom management.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, preferably with early childhood or primary education specialization.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and designing developmentally appropriate learning activities.
- Excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with young learners, families, and colleagues.
- Experience in Training or mentoring, or a willingness to participate in ongoing professional learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field; relevant teaching certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience teaching in international or bilingual school settings is preferred.
- Ability to create an inclusive, culturally responsive, and safe learning environment.
- Organized, patient, and adaptable, with a collaborative approach to working in a multicultural team.
