Role Description K-12 Teachers at Gobind Sarvar School Calgary are responsible for planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons to students in their assigned grade levels. Day-to-day duties include preparing instructional materials, teaching core subjects, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records. Teachers will create inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom environments, integrate technology to support learning, and collaborate with colleagues and families to support student success. Responsibilities also include supervising students, participating in school events, and contributing to professional development initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Calgary, AB.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with demonstrated experience delivering Alberta or comparable K-12 curriculum.
  • Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning abilities, including designing differentiated and engaging instructional activities.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact with students, families, and colleagues in a clear and respectful manner.
  • Candidates should possess Training and mentoring capabilities to support student learning and contribute to peer collaboration and school initiatives.
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction and managing diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning environment aligned with the school’s ethos.
  • Strong classroom management skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working within a school community.
