Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at Independent University, Bangladesh in Dhaka. The Job Title will be responsible for contributing to the academic and operational activities of the university, which may include teaching, curriculum development, research, student mentoring, and participation in departmental and institutional committees. Daily responsibilities can involve preparing and delivering lectures or training sessions, assessing student performance, maintaining accurate academic records, and ensuring adherence to university policies and quality standards. The role may also require collaboration with colleagues on research projects, academic events, and initiatives that strengthen the university’s partnerships and community outreach. The Job Title is expected to actively support IUB’s mission of fostering an inclusive, research-driven educational environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic background with at least a graduate degree in a related field; a PhD or equivalent terminal degree is preferred for academic positions.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, or academic support, with strong skills in classroom facilitation and learner engagement.
- Proven ability to conduct research, prepare scholarly or professional reports, and contribute to publications or academic projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and administrative staff.
- Effective organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusivity, and continuous professional development aligned with the university’s mission and values.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, basic data management tools, and standard office software used in higher education settings.
- Previous experience in a higher education or research environment in Bangladesh or internationally is an advantage.
