Job Summary: Contract position for the Summer English Language Program (SELP), requiring full‑time ESL instructors from August 4 – 21, 2026. Instructors will deliver the SELP curriculum, plan lessons and assignments, prepare additional materials, and accompany students on off‑campus site visits. A preparation meeting will be attended prior to the program start date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with a BC TEAL/TESL‑Canada recognized TESL certificate equivalent to a specialization in TESL from a degree program.
- Minimum two‑year teaching experience in ESL at the adult level.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Salary Range / Hours & Days of Work: Monday to Friday, 9‑12 noon and 1‑3 p.m. Salary: $38/hour ($36.54 salary plus 4% vacation pay). Hours may vary according to the needs of the department. Scheduled weekly hours: 0.35.
