Responsibilities
- Impeccable reliability and work ethic
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to infants and toddlers that promote literacy education, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and early childhood development principles.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Engage children through age-appropriate activities that support curriculum development in areas such as language acquisition, math fundamentals, physical education, and sensory play.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure a structured yet flexible daily schedule.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support their child’s welfare and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and developmental assessments in compliance with licensing standards.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and early intervention strategies.
- Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques for young children and behavior management strategies.
- Background in special education or experience working with children requiring additional support is advantageous.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; however, relevant classroom experience is equally valued. Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
