Infant Lead Teacher Jobs in Hainesport, NJ at Wee Kids Early Learning Center
Wee Kids is seeking committed applicants who are passionate about early childhood care and education.
A lead teacher is responsible for the overall supervision of the children enrolled in the classroom. Lead teachers carry out daily activities, ensure the safety and physical well- being of the children, maintain daily communication with parents and work within the childcare team to provide a high quality experience.
Responsibilities:
– Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
– Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
– Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in each child
– Collaborate with parents and guardians to support the child’s learning and development
– Assess and monitor the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents/guardians
– Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
– Follow all licensing regulations and maintain accurate records
· Ensure all children are tracked daily. Know how many you have at all times and check head counts whenever moving to a new location.
· Carry out daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate. Make sure all plans and supplies are prepped ahead of time.
·Engage children as individuals and support children’s social/ emotional developments by using Positive Behavior Strategies.
·Work with co-teachers and managers to address any child behavior concerns.
·Be sure to speak with the management team about any child with allergies/ action plans.
Skills:
– Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting
– Knowledge of early intervention strategies and techniques
– Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations
– Ability to effectively manage behavior in a classroom setting
– Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
– Proficient in classroom management techniques
– Understanding of literacy education principles and practices
Required Qualifications:
Prior classroom experience (Infant, Toddler, PreSchool)
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
Strong written and communication skills, ability to communicate with parents
must have a friendly, warm and loving demeanor
understands and abides by NJ state licensing and health department standards
strong people skills- has the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all -children, peers, parents and community
organized, motivated and reliable
must be able to lift up to 40lbs.

experience working with Procare a plus
last, but most important- MUST truly love children, want to make a difference in a child’s life and value the importance of quality early childhood care and learning experiences.
Having CDA is a plus!!!
