Role Description
The IGCSE/IELTS Tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to students preparing for IGCSE English and IELTS examinations. Key tasks include creating lesson plans, conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, and offering personalized learning support to students. Tutors are expected to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. This is a part-time hybrid role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with options to work either physically within the KL/PJ/SL areas, or remotely for certain clients.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of IGCSE English curriculum and IELTS examination requirements
- Strong teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and individualized instruction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students
- Proficiency in identifying and addressing student learning gaps and providing appropriate feedback
- Experience with hybrid or online teaching platforms is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field
- Relevant teaching certifications (e.g., TESOL, CELTA) are highly desirable
- Previous experience in teaching IGCSE or IELTS is strongly preferred
