Bunda Mulia School (SPK), founded in 2005, focuses on meaningful, real-world learning experiences tailored to students’ needs, interests, and cultural backgrounds. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic IGCSE & AS/A Level Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary education team. This is a full-time position based in North Jakarta. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in developing students' mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence in this subject. Your teaching will directly contribute to preparing students for their examinations and fostering a genuine passion for mathematics.

Key responsibilities

  1. Deliver engaging and well-structured IGCSE and AS/A Level mathematics lessons that align with Cambridge International Examinations syllabus requirements
  2. Plan and prepare comprehensive lesson materials, assessments, and resources that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  3. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
  4. Monitor and track student attainment, identifying areas where additional support or extension activities are required
  5. Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE and AS/A Level mathematics examinations through targeted revision sessions and practice
  6. Maintain detailed records of student progress and achievement, communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding academic performance
  7. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the mathematics curriculum, ensuring consistency and pedagogical excellence
  8. Supervise students during examinations and ensure compliance with examination protocols and regulations
  9. Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and other professional duties as required
  10. Contribute to the development of a supportive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and academic resilience.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related mathematical discipline from an accredited institution
  2. Teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teacher training certification)
  3. Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or AS/A Level Mathematics to secondary school students
  4. Excellent subject knowledge with a deep understanding of the Cambridge International Examinations mathematics syllabus
  5. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging to learners
  6. Experience in preparing students for high-stakes examinations with a track record of strong examination results
  7. Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  9. Commitment to professional development and staying current with best practices in mathematics education
  10. Resilience, flexibility, and a positive approach to supporting student success
  11. Experience in an international school or British curriculum context would be advantageous
  12. Familiarity with online learning platforms and distance learning delivery would be a strong asset
