Role Description The IGCSE and AS/A Level English and Mathematics Instructor role at Gökkuşağı Koleji is a contract, on-site position based in Beylikdüzü. The instructor is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level curricula in English and Mathematics, using a variety of instructional methods and resources. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing student performance through assignments and exams, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role also involves supporting students’ exam readiness, participating in departmental meetings, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, and communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in English Teaching, with experience delivering IGCSE and AS/A Level English or comparable international programs.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear classroom instruction, active listening, and effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to perform Translation tasks where needed to support understanding between English and Turkish in academic contexts.
- Customer Service orientation, with a focus on responsiveness, patience, and professionalism in interactions with students and parents.
- Experience in Training, mentoring, or coaching learners to build confidence and improve exam performance in English and Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification or relevant pedagogical training preferred.
- Prior experience teaching in international or Cambridge curriculum schools is highly beneficial.
- Strong classroom management skills, ability to work on-site in Beylikdüzü, and commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices.
