About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Middle School Mathematics Teacher to teach students in Grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong mathematical foundations, fostering logical reasoning, and developing problem-solving abilities through engaging, inquiry-based, and student-centered teaching practices aligned with the ICSE curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Mathematics lessons in accordance with the ICSE curriculum.
- Teach mathematical concepts including number systems, algebra, geometry, mensuration, data handling, probability, and introductory statistics.
- Foster logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments, assignments, quizzes, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and implement intervention and enrichment strategies to improve outcomes.
- Organize and support Mathematics clubs, Olympiads, quizzes, exhibitions, and STEM-related activities.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), school events, workshops, and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Mathematics into interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of the ICSE Mathematics curriculum and middle school pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience in an ICSE school.
- Experience teaching Grades 6–8 is preferred.
