Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an IBDP Maths Teacher based at Sanjay Ghodawat International School in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The IBDP Maths Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven mathematics lessons aligned with IBDP standards, using a range of instructional strategies and assessments. The role involves preparing schemes of work, designing formative and summative assessments, and providing timely feedback to support each learner’s progress. The teacher will maintain accurate student records, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. Responsibilities also include supporting students in internal assessments and exam preparation, communicating with parents and guardians, and contributing to co-curricular and pastoral activities that foster holistic growth.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach higher-level IBDP content.
- Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned with IB or similar international programs.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching certifications, licenses, or professional training.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience teaching IBDP, IB MYP, or other international curricula is highly desirable.
- Ability to use educational technology, digital resources, and data to enhance teaching and learning.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaborative skills, with a learner-centered approach.
- Commitment to inclusive, values-driven education and ongoing professional development.
