Company Description Kaspi International School is an IB school in the process of accreditation and is part of Kaspi Education Company, one of the largest education providers in Azerbaijan. The school draws on over a decade of educational experience and a network of 28 education centers, including private schools and kindergartens across Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, and other regions. It offers a safe, positive learning environment for primary learners from ages 3 to 10 across seven year levels (P1–P7). The school is dedicated to high standards of international education, focusing on social-emotional development, critical thinking, and global mindedness. Learners are encouraged to be active participants in their education, with teachers guiding inquiry-based learning and problem-solving.

Role Description The IB Homeroom Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Baku. The role involves planning and delivering inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) principles, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for primary-aged learners. The teacher designs and implements learning activities that develop social-emotional skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while integrating language, mathematics, and transdisciplinary themes. Daily responsibilities include assessing student progress, maintaining records, preparing learning materials, and providing regular feedback to students and families. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues on curriculum planning, participating in school events and professional development, and contributing to the overall school community.

Qualifications

  • Strong classroom teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction for primary-aged learners.
  • Experience with inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches, ideally within the IB PYP or similar international curricula.
  • Ability to support social-emotional development, critical thinking, and problem-solving in young learners.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues in a multicultural environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; relevant teaching qualification or certification preferred.
  • Prior experience as a homeroom or primary teacher, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Azerbaijani or other languages is an advantage.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and alignment with IB educational philosophy and school values.
