- Lead and mentor the IB DP Languages department, ensuring alignment with IB philosophy, assessment standards, and curriculum frameworks.
- Design and implement department-wide teaching strategies that enhance student engagement, literacy development, and cross-cultural communication.
- Oversee curriculum mapping, unit planning, and assessment moderation to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all language offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to integrate language learning into interdisciplinary projects and global initiatives.
- Conduct regular classroom observations, feedback sessions, and professional development workshops for language faculty.
- Represent the school’s language program at IB workshops, parent meetings, and accreditation reviews.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- IB DP Languages certification or training
- Experience teaching IB DP Language A or Language B courses
- Curriculum design for IB Diploma Programme
- Classroom observation and instructional coaching
- IB moderation and internal assessment guidelines
- Proficiency in English and at least one additional IB-recognized language
Preferred
- Experience as IB Coordinator or Head of Department
- familiarity with Approaches to Learning (ATL) and Concept-Based Learning
- Experience in international or multicultural school environments
