Position: Heavy Mechanical Trades Educator Role
Northern Lights College seeks a Heavy Mechanical Trades Instructor to teach Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Foundation courses. This position offers a platform to inspire and guide students from Monday to Friday.
In this educator role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction grounded in the Skilled
TradesBC guidelines, fostering student readiness for their Interprovincial Red Seal exams. The ideal candidate should bring extensive expertise and a positive student-focused attitude to this temporary position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver impactful course materials
• Ensure compliance with Skilled
TradesBC standards
• Mentor and guide a cohort of aspiring technicians
• Promote student engagement and career readiness
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in instructional efforts
Requirements:
• Certificate of Qualification with Red Seal status
• Ten years of relevant trade experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
• Expertise in Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent communication abilities
