Kids Tech is seeking an enthusiastic Head Start Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Head Start Teacher will be responsible for creating a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment that supports children’s growth across all developmental areas. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about early learning, enjoys designing creative lesson plans, and values meaningful connections with children and families.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that Kids Tech’s Head Start program complies with all Illinois licensing requirements and Head Start guidelines.
- Actively supervise the classroom, ensuring compliance with all Head Start performance standards.
- Prepare weekly lesson plans using Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG) assessment standards.
- Observe and record behaviors of children to assist in identifying each child’s strengths and growth areas.
- Attend parent meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and home visits as required.
- Perform quarterly screenings and assessments to identify and track developmental milestones.
- Participate in early childhood education professional development and training opportunities.
- Provide leadership and supervision of interactions, activities, and materials appropriate for children’s social, cognitive, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.
- Protect and enhance the health and safety of the children and staff at the Early Childhood Center.
- Perform proper health and safety standards including, but not limited to, proper handwashing, diapering/toileting procedures, and meal service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment that promotes optimal growth and development.
- Inform and welcome parents as observers and contributors to the classroom and Kids Tech program.
- Represent the Kids Tech Head Start Program in the community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with at least 28 credit hours in ECE/CD.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in Head Start or early learning programs preferred.
- Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
- Must have no criminal convictions related to child offenses, neglect, or abuse.

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
