GT School operates on a different model. We support Gifted & Talented K–8 learners using AI-enhanced curriculum and mentorship that holds high expectations. We are now expanding our virtual offering to enable families to access GT-caliber acceleration regardless of location. This position is designed to create a virtual school model that is demanding, dependable, and demonstrably effective.
You will control the complete infrastructure of the virtual program. This encompasses experience architecture for students, management of advisor performance, targeted cohort-level actions, and cultivation of parent confidence. No established blueprint is in place. You will conduct analysis, implement rapid corrections, participate directly in live sessions when necessary, and establish frameworks that allow 3× learning gains to scale reliably.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who values measurable impact. Your scorecard will include retention, acceleration rates, parent satisfaction, and tangible student achievement. If you seek ownership, operational complexity, and direct responsibility, this mandate is yours.
What You Will Be Doing
- Architecting and iterating the complete virtual student journey to foster acceleration, competitive drive, and community connection
- Analyzing student outcomes, advisor effectiveness, and family feedback on a weekly basis to pinpoint deficiencies and deploy rapid improvements
- Leading performance oversight of the 3× learning framework, spotting XP deficits and creating mechanisms to maintain student momentum
- Collaborating with advisors to deliver cohort-specific interventions and anticipatory parent outreach before challenges intensify
- Establishing advisor training, alignment, and development pathways informed by session recordings, data dashboards, and outcome tracking

- Managing a fixed program with predictable routines and prolonged decision timelines
- Functioning in a reactive capacity while others surface performance concerns
- Prioritizing participation metrics over concrete academic progress
- Generating reports that fail to result in actionable shifts in student programming or advisor conduct
Head Of Virtual Learning Key Responsibilities
Construct and manage a scalable virtual school infrastructure that reliably produces 3× learning outcomes, builds parent confidence, and sustains enrollment through transparent, recognized student advancement.
Basic Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a virtual school or digital education initiative from start to finish
- Instructional or teaching foundation with hands-on involvement in learning delivery (classroom-based, digital, or hybrid formats)
- Advanced diagnostic capability using performance dashboards, session playback, and feedback mechanisms to determine underlying issues and implement corrective action
- Track record of managing distributed teams with defined expectations, rigorous accountability, and consistent execution
- Proficiency in parent engagement with evidence of anticipatory, relationship-strengthening communication
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience developing motivational structures including competitions, performance rankings, or shared rituals that sustain learner commitment
- Familiarity with progressive or AI-powered instructional approaches
- Background in creating and executing quantifiable team enablement initiatives such as onboarding protocols and calibration frameworks

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
