The Role:
Lead and manage the Science Department, driving
innovation
and excellence in teaching and learning.
Deliver inspiring and rigorous Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Develop and enhance the Science curriculum, ensuring it remains engaging and academically rigorous.
Support and mentor Science teachers, fostering a culture of
collaboration
and
continuous improvement
.
Analyse student data to track progress and implement effective intervention strategies where necessary.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and STEM outreach programs.
Head of Science | The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and extensive experience teaching and leading Science at secondary level.
A 2:1 or higher degree in Science or a closely related subject.
Proven
leadership
skills or the ambition and potential to step into a
leadership
role.
A passion for Physics
education
and a track record of delivering exceptional student outcomes.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and challenge students.
A commitment to
innovation
in teaching and a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular STEM activities.
