We're looking for an experienced Preschool Principal to lead our client's centre in the Klang Valle, someone who brings both heart and rigour to the role.
This is a senior leadership position. We're not looking for someone stepping into management for the first time. We want a seasoned educator who has already navigated the full complexity of running a preschool: the curriculum, the staff, the parents, and the budget.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Lead day-to-day operations of the centre, including academic programmes and staff management
- Own the annual operating budget, from planning and monitoring to variance analysis and reporting to owners
- Drive cost discipline without compromising the quality of children's learning experience
- Negotiate with vendors and manage procurement efficiently
- Ensure full compliance with MoE / Kementerian Pendidikan licensing requirements
- Guide, mentor, and appraise teaching and support staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and the wider school community
- Develop enrolment strategies to sustain healthy centre capacity
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 8-10 years in early childhood education, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Principal, Deputy Principal, or Centre Head)
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Management, or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience managing a centre's budget and operational finances
- Comfortable reading basic financial reports (P&L, monthly expenditure summaries)
- Calm, decisive, and authoritative, you know how to hold a room
- Strong communicator in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin a bonus
- Knowledge of KEMAS / PERMATA / private preschool licensing frameworks preferred
