It offers programs in areas such as Agricultural Economics, AgroLogistics, Business Management, and Food Safety Management, Smart Sustainable Agriculture with English as the primary medium of instruction. The internationally diverse faculty includes experts from the United States, Canada, the Poland , and more. IAU also facilitates internships in prominent international agricultural and agri-food organizations, enhancing its strong global focus.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tashkent. The Head of the English Department will lead the department, oversee faculty performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality education. Day-to-day tasks include teaching and coordination of teaching activities, mentoring faculty, organizing teacher training programs, and fostering a collaborative learning environment. Additionally, the Head will be responsible for monitoring student progress, revising teaching methodologies, and staying updated on best practices in English language education to maintain excellence. IAU is planning to launch a Bachelors in English Philology too, so some new hires will need to be on-boarded too.
Qualifications
- Experience in Teaching English for Academic Purposes
- Master’s degree in English, Education is a requirement
- Qualified Teacher certification or equivalent recognized teaching credentials
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development and experience in designing language education programs
- Strong background in Education and commitment to fostering academic excellence
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in an academic leadership position is preferred
- PhD is preferred
