2 Hour Learning operates on a model that enables students to learn at twice the speed in only two hours per day. This is achieved through AI-driven tutoring, mastery-based advancement, and a fundamental redesign of traditional classroom frameworks. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can align execution across multiple school environments, elevate standards for academic leadership, and serve as the authoritative voice for a movement rooted in evidence-based learning science.
This position is not centered on theoretical exploration. It is a leadership imperative. You will be accountable for the academic strategy in action, establish rigorous benchmarks, surface performance gaps, and guide high-performing teams toward measurable success. You will convert our scientific principles into operational rigor and champion this model on a global stage.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational architecture, and application development.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain synchronized, responsible, and outcome-focused.
- Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that surface the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the primary representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from conference keynotes to consultations with Ministries of Education—advancing systemic transformation in global education models.

- Engaging in fragmented curriculum initiatives that lack systemic influence.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or practical implementation.
- Transferring accountability for team performance to mid-level managers or external advisors.
- Depending on institutional reputation or conceptual arguments to convince critical audiences.
Head Of Academic Innovation Key Responsibilities
Expand and strengthen the validated academic model of 2 Hour Learning by aligning execution across school sites, elevating leadership expectations, and establishing yourself as the authoritative voice for a movement founded on rigorous science and demonstrated impact.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
