Job Description

Aldar Education is currently seeking a Head – Education (Charter Schools) to support our growing family of managed schools in the UAE.

Responsibilities

Main Duties

  • To co-create, develop and implement key improvement strategies to improve educational outcomes for Charter school students
  • To monitor, support an develop educational initiatives to improve student outcomes.
  • To work as part of the wider school improvement team to enhance provision in Charter schools and ensure that school curricula is fit for purpose and provides all learners with dynamic and innovative learning opportunities
  • To support Charter school leadership teams sourcing staff training on educational matters and ensure that all are operated to the highest standards
  • To QA To QA processes and programs related to education in Charter Schools.

Specific Duties

  • To support the development of future focussed curriculum models
  • To work alongside the education, IT, and technology teams in exploring, developing, and implementing the US Curriculum in Charter schools
  • To assist in the development of online learning solutions that meet the current and future needs of all learners.
  • To work with Charter school leadership teams to ensure forensic analysis of data to drive improvements in attainment.
  • To ensure reporting dealdeins are met and that all schools follow a robust QA process.
  • To act as a source of support, advice, and expertise to staff on education matters
  • To support school leadership teams with progressing in Emiratisation objectives, and work with People & Culture to strategise and manage the approach for Charter schools as a group
  • To partner with ADEK to ensure the continuing success of the Charter schools programme
  • Provide support to Executive Management on document and bid preparation materials for new Charter School projects
  • To research latest pedagogy ideas and disseminate across Charter schools.
  • Work closely with Charter school leaders to support inspection preparation
  • To co-ordinate and line manage the Charter HQ education team to ensure all areas of education in schools are covered, supported, QA’d and developed appropriately.
  • To undertake any other task deemed appropriate by the Director of Charter Schools.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or Bachelor’s degree with postgraduate qualifications in teaching (e.g. PGCE) essential
  • MA in Education is an advantage but not required

Minimum Experience

  • At least 2 years senior leadership in a school setting, as a Principal or a minimum of a Head of School (Primary / Secondary)
