About The Community
Thunderbird School is a Nursery to Grade 10 school with approximately 235 students. It is located in South Indian Lake, which is a community with a population of approximately 1000 people. It is located 130 air-kilometers northwest of Thompson, MB. Road access into South Indian Lake is approximately 327 kms, year-round gravel road and a short ferry ride. This lakeside town offers community services such as a grocery store, health complex and a community hall.

What You Bring
- Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
- A sound knowledge of provincial curricula
- Previous teaching experience
- A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
- Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
