Role Description
Certiprof is seeking a commercially driven Gerente de Convenios Universitarios y Alianzas de Formación to lead the expansion of strategic partnerships with universities, academies, continuing education departments, corporate universities, and training organizations across Mexico.
This role is focused on business development, partnership growth, and commercial relationship management within the education sector. The ideal candidate will actively prospect new institutional partners, schedule meetings with decision-makers, present Certiprof’s certification and training ecosystem, negotiate commercial and academic agreements, and manage long-term strategic relationships.
The candidate will promote Certiprof solutions including certifications, digital badges, workforce upskilling initiatives, academic partnership programs, corporate learning solutions, and educational technology services.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mexico City, with a national growth focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage strategic alliances with universities, academies, and training organizations.
* Prospect and generate new partnership opportunities within the education sector.
* Present Certiprof’s certification ecosystem and workforce development solutions to institutional stakeholders.
* Negotiate commercial agreements and academic collaboration models.
* Manage partnership pipelines, onboarding processes, and account growth initiatives.
* Maintain strong long-term relationships with partner institutions.
* Identify opportunities for revenue growth, certification adoption, and corporate training expansion.
* Coordinate with internal teams to support partner success and execution.
* Represent Certiprof in meetings, events, and strategic education initiatives.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or commercial growth roles.
* Recent experience (within the last 3 years) working for companies that provide educational solutions, academic technology, certifications, training services, or services for universities and academies.
* Experience selling products or services to universities, academies, continuing education departments, or corporate learning environments.
* Strong commercial mindset with experience growing accounts, partnerships, or revenue pipelines.
* Excellent relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Strong organizational and stakeholder management abilities.
* Experience using CRM platforms, productivity software, and virtual meeting tools.
* Knowledge of EdTech, certifications, professional development, or workforce upskilling industries is highly valued.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, International Business, or related fields preferred.
* Spanish and English bilingual proficiency required.
