About the Role
TMC Singapore Institute, located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is seeking highly motivated and qualified Full-Time Lecturers to join our academic team. We are recruiting lecturers for our Business Programs and Tourism & Hospitality Program. Successful candidates will deliver undergraduate modules in accordance with the Singapore and British higher education system and the academic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and tutorial sessions using student-centred teaching approaches.
- Teach undergraduate modules within the relevant discipline (Business or Tourism & Hospitality).
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and teaching resources aligned with approved module descriptors.
- Design, prepare, and update assessments, including coursework, assignments, presentations, and examinations.
- Mark assessments and provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback to students.
- Monitor student engagement and academic progress, providing appropriate academic support where required.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous enhancement of teaching and learning practices.
- Maintain accurate academic records and comply with institutional IQA and EQA procedures.
- Participate in module leadership, internal verification, moderation, and other academic quality processes as required.
- Attend departmental meetings, staff development activities, and other academic events.
- Contribute to academic administration and support the overall development of the Institute.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is essential (PhD or ongoing doctoral studies are desirable).
- For the Business Programs: Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Economics, or a closely related field.
- For the Tourism & Hospitality Program: Master's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Event Management, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience in higher education.
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, marking, and academic quality assurance.
- Familiarity with the British or international higher education system is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple academic responsibilities.
