Role Description The Coding Instructor (Full time/ Tarkeshwor) will design and deliver coding lessons to students aged 6–18 in an engaging, age-appropriate manner. This full-time, on-site role is based in Kathmandu and involves preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, and guiding students through project-based activities in coding, robotics, and introductory AI concepts. The instructor will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum improvements, and communicating with parents or guardians about student performance and goals.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational skills in programming (e.g., Scratch, Python, JavaScript or similar languages) and interest in robotics or AI for educational purposes.
- Ability to design and deliver structured, project-based lessons suitable for children and teens, with clear learning outcomes.
- Effective classroom management and facilitation skills, including the ability to engage diverse learners and support individual learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, understandable language for younger learners.
- Prior experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students, especially in STEM or computer science, is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Comfort using educational technology and learning management tools to support instruction and track student progress.
