The Opportunity
Are you energetic, patient, and passionate about guiding young minds? We are looking for a Full-time Aftercare Montessori Teacher Assistant to bring warmth, structure, and engaging energy to our school day and afternoon programs! In this role, you’ll partner with lead teachers to create a safe, calm, and inspiring environment where children thrive through hands-on activities, outdoor play, and social connection. Schedule: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Full-time, year-round position)
What You’ll Do
- Guide & Inspire: Support children ages 3–6 in activities that build independence, confidence, and strong social skills.
- Keep the Magic Flowing: Assist with classroom routines, afternoon transitions, snacks, group activities, and outdoor play.
- Maintain the Space: Help prepare materials and keep the Montessori classroom beautiful, orderly, and welcoming.
- Connect & Collaborate: Build positive relationships with young learners, supportive teammates, and engaged families.
- Observe & Support: Keep an attentive eye on each child’s needs while modeling kindness, respect, and school values.
What You Bring
- Passion for Early Childhood: Experience in preschool or early childhood settings (Montessori exposure or ECE coursework is a major plus!).
- Great Energy & Empathy: A patient, encouraging presence and a natural ability to manage small groups with care.
- Clear Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to connect with kids, parents, and fellow staff.
- Everyday Skills: Basic math skills to support age-appropriate activities and practical life tasks.
- Active Mindset: Comfortable standing, bending, and actively engaging with children both indoors and outdoors.
- Inclusive Heart: A deep commitment to creating a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for every child.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour
- Time Off: 6 weeks of paid vacation & paid holidays
