Position
1.0 FTE Grade7 Generalist, Physical Health Education7 & Electives8/9 Teacher
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a team to offer engaging programs and opportunities such as electives or exploratories for students in areas other than core subjects.
- Implement a school‑wide PBIS model and trauma‑informed strategies to create a safe and caring school.
- Assess for learning through school‑wide assessment in literacy and numeracy.
- Provide or adapt curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Connect learning to the community and outside world through the Community School Society.
- Integrate technology in meaningful ways to personalize learning.
- Model district commitments of inclusivity, equity, and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Ability to teach Grade7 Physical Health Education and teacher electives for grades8/9.
- Willingness to embrace and share district commitments outlined above.
- Experience with collaborative, inquiry‑based and trauma‑informed teaching.
- Strong commitment to assessment for learning.
