Position: Facilitator for Play-Based Learning Program
Join Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools as a Strong Start Facilitator at Georgia Avenue Elementary. Deliver play-centered learning to support young children and their families in a nurturing environment.
This pivotal role enables you to lead a vibrant early learning program that engages children from infants to 5 years old. You will collaborate with parents and work closely with school staff to ensure a successful experience while adhering to the BC Early Learning Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop interactive learning programs for mixed-age groups
• Build strong relationships with families and children
• Consult with local agencies and educational staff
• Document child’s developmental progress in a drop-in setting
• Facilitate communication with parents and school administration
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Child Safe First Aid Certificate required
• Experience planning parent participation programs preferred
• Excellent computer skills for record-keeping
