Overview
Cosmo 1:1 is the premiere online learning platform that connects K-12 students with tutors from top US and Canadian universities for personalized lessons. Tutors set a flexible and consistent schedule. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes with Cosmo-provided learning plans.
This is a 1:1 tutoring opportunity in an after-school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50-minute sessions. You should be reliable, well-prepared, on time, and maintain a welcoming and kind demeanor.
The base rate for this position is 20 CAD plus additional incentives and bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for students
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
- Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
- Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
- Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
- Communicate with Cosmo staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep
- Experience with K-12 ELA/Math standards
- Teaching license preferred but not required
- Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
- Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
- Available between 6-9 AM EST or 3-10 PM EST on Monday through Friday or weekends
- Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week
- Access to a private and quiet location
- Currently located in the United States or Canada
- Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, and reliable
