Role Description The English Teacher – Primary will plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with IB, Cambridge, and CBSE curricula for primary grade learners. Responsibilities include creating age-appropriate lesson plans, teaching core language skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening), and using a variety of teaching methods to support different learning styles. The role involves evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning. The teacher will also contribute to classroom management, school events, and co-curricular activities that enhance students’ communication and literacy skills. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the SGIS campus in Kolhapur.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in English Teaching and Education, with the ability to teach primary learners effectively.
  • Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Lesson Planning, including designing structured, engaging, and inclusive lessons.
  • Excellent Communication skills for clear instruction, feedback to students, and collaboration with families and colleagues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field; formal teacher training or B.Ed is preferred.
  • Experience teaching in IB, Cambridge, or CBSE schools, especially at the primary level, is an advantage.
  • Ability to use educational technology, digital learning tools, and innovative classroom strategies to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to child-centric, inclusive practices and to fostering values, discipline, and holistic development.
  • Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and readiness to participate in school events and co-curricular activities.
