English Teacher – Full Time (IGCSE | Grade 8 to AS & A Level)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly competent and passionate English Teacher with IGCSE and Cambridge AS & A Level experience to teach students from Grade 8 through advanced levels. The role involves developing strong language, literature, and analytical skills while preparing students for international examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the IGCSE and Cambridge AS & A Level curriculum.
- Teach both English Language and English Literature (as applicable).
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical analysis skills.
- Prepare students for IGCSE and AS/A Level examinations through structured lesson plans and revision strategies.
- Design assignments, assessments, and mock exams in line with Cambridge standards.
- Evaluate student progress and provide detailed feedback.
- Encourage classroom discussions, debates, and independent thinking.
- Maintain records of attendance, academic progress, and reports.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English or related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Mandatory: Experience in teaching IGCSE and/or Cambridge AS & A Level English.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in an international curriculum school.
