We are seeking a passionate and experienced Expat English Teacher to join our client's school. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus, nurturing students' language skills, critical thinking, and love of literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Cambridge IGCSE English lessons (First Language and/or Second Language)
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Design coursework, assignments, and examination preparation materials
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and staff development sessions
- Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve curriculum delivery
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have
- Native or near-native English speaker (expat applicants)
- Minimum 2 year of English teaching experience (international school experience preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in English, Education, or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, TEFL/TESOL, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and assessment standards
Nice to Have
- Prior experience teaching in Malaysia or Southeast Asia
- Experience preparing students for Cambridge O-Level or IGCSE examinations
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
