We are seeking a versatile, passionate, and highly qualified English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will possess the unique ability to adapt their teaching methodology across different developmental stages—fostering foundational literacy in Primary School, developing critical thinking and analytical skills in Middle School, and preparing High School students for advanced board/university-level English literature.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instructional Delivery & Curriculum Management

  • Primary School (Grades 1–5): Teach foundational reading, phonics, grammar, spelling, and creative writing. Use interactive, play-based, and visual tools to instill a love for the English language.
  • Middle School (Grades 6–8): Transition students into deeper comprehension, essay writing, and introductory literature analysis. Focus on vocabulary expansion and public speaking skills.
  • High School (Grades 9–12): Deliver advanced lessons in English Literature and Language composition. Prepare students for rigorous external examinations, university applications, and critical textual analysis.

2. Classroom Management & Student Engagement

  • Create an inclusive, positive, and vibrant classroom environment that caters to diverse learning styles and paces.
  • Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to support both struggling students and high-achievers.
  • Maintain excellent classroom discipline while encouraging active participation and open discussion.

3. Assessment & Reporting

  • Design, administer, and grade formative and summative assessments aligned with school curriculum standards.
  • Provide constructive, timely feedback on student essays, assignments, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and prepare progress reports for parent-teacher conferences.

4. Professional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the English department heads to align vertical curriculum progression from primary to high school.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide events or extracurricular clubs (e.g., Drama, Debate, or Literary Magazine).

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Literature, English Language, or Education (B.Ed/M.Ed) with a specialization in English.
  • Certification: Teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, CELTA/DELTA, State Teaching License) is highly preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven teaching experience across multi-level classrooms (Primary, Middle, or High School).
  • Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., British/Cambridge, American, or IB frameworks) is a distinct advantage.

Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong adaptability to shift teaching styles from energetic storytelling (Primary) to advanced academic discourse (High School).
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology (Smartboards, LMS platforms like Google Classroom or Seesaw) into daily lessons.
