Role Description The English Second Language Teacher role at Edex Global Nexus is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The teacher will conduct English language classes for learners at various proficiency levels, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing teaching materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will guide students preparing for exams such as IELTS and other English proficiency tests, and maintain accurate records of attendance and performance. The role also involves collaborating with counseling and academic teams to align teaching with students’ study and migration objectives, while fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language skills, with experience working with diverse learner backgrounds.
  • Candidates should possess Lesson Planning skills and the ability to design structured, goal-oriented lessons and learning materials.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in IELTS preparation and related exam-focused Teaching strategies.
  • Candidates should possess excellent English language proficiency, both spoken and written, and clear classroom communication skills.
  • Candidates should possess a relevant academic background, such as a degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field, and TEFL/TESOL or similar certification is highly beneficial.
  • Candidates should possess strong classroom management, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to motivate and support learners toward their academic and migration goals.
  • Candidates should possess basic digital literacy, including using online resources and learning tools to enhance teaching and student engagement.
