Role Description: The English Second Language Instructor will deliver engaging English lessons to learners with dyslexia and other special educational needs, using the school’s specialized methodology and best practices in inclusive education. Free-of-charge training will be provided in advance. This is a role for instructors who wish to work in a highly innovative, SEN-focused setting.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional skills in English Teaching, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), and general Teaching
- Strong interest in special educational needs, especially dyslexia, and in applying multi-sensory or alternative teaching approaches.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); additional knowledge of Greek is an asset but not required.
- Relevant degree in Education, English, Linguistics, Special Education, or a related field; TEFL/TESOL or similar certification is preferred.
- Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust with learners and families in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training, reflect on practice, and collaborate within a creative, research-informed teaching team.
